Fell asleep today, North Ontario. Woke up far away, A place I didn’t know.
Posted by Jeff under What's Up?Just a quick update; I’ve been pretty preoccupied with several things, including the Federation of Students elections and midterms. For those who haven’t heard, I’ve been acclaimed as Engineering Councillor for Student’s Council and am acting campaign manager for the Shape The Future ticket, which has been taking quite a bit of my time up lately.
It’s been a little rough lately as my Dell Notebook computer had a motherboard failure and I’ve been mooching computer time off of my roommate Yassir (Who I’m eternally grateful for…well…maybe not eternally…but pretty close). I just had the motherboard replaced 5 months ago and it went again and they refused to replace it, I bought a new computer (and won’t ever again buy from Dell). I haven’t got it yet, but it will be a big change. Say it with me: “MacBook Pro.”
Oh yeah….election…well it seems there is a Conservative Minority (with more Liberals than I expected), just as I predicted, with my Liberal Candidate winning…so it’s not too bad. I expect a very short parliament…and another election…oh goody. Well, I’d better get back to studying.

Yay, MacBook Pro.
When I can afford it, when I can afford it… maybe when my monitor stops working permanently, I’ll take that as a sign. (Please, oh please, fail silently, and not by exploding in a vicious fireball that consumes my entire bedroom…)

Mike, do I even WANT to know how it’s possible for a monitor to explode in a vicious fireball? (Without being filled with plastique or something of the sort).
And Jeff, from what you’ve said on it I’m still half convinced you want the MacBook Pro because it looks sexy.
